5 People I Meet in Andrew Building Everyday

Since I am doomed to spend most of my college days inside a 21-floor building full of froshies, a.k.a Bro. Andrew Gonzales Building, I might as well blog about it.

And just like any other LaSallian stuff, Andrew building was not spared from Ateneo's remarks.

Prof: "Do you know that La Salle has a brand new 21-storey buuilding?"
Atenista: "Well (nag-iisip na ng ihihirit)...That's the only way they can go up!" (galing kay Mia 'yan)

So, before I completely lose track of what I'm supposed to blog in the first place, here is my top five list of people I meet in Andrew everyday.

1. MGA FROSH

Frosh is the Lasalista's coñotic term for first year college students. Just where this term came from, I have no idea. Though froshies (yes, it also has a plural form) have different personas, they are all basically the same. If you are a upperclass and you spend your entire day in this building, then you know what I mean.

They dress to impress, sport the latest sleu of gadgets, coño english and accent kahit filipino na ang sinasabi. but those qualities are quite common to all La Sallians, regardless of year, class, course and block. But what set the froshies apart from the rest of us? They don't know how to use the elevator. Either they blantly "round trip" or they keep on forgetting to press the Up button in the ground floor.

Tsk tsk.Kelangan yata kasama ang Proper Elevator Etiquette sa LPEP eh.

2. KOREANS...AND OTHER FOREIGNERS
Hindi pa ba obvious?:)

3. MGA CHINOY.
Ooops. i think I have to be politically correct here.

Chinese-Filipinos. Though I don't think that there is a big difference between chinoy and chinese-flipino.chinoy na lang mas madali pa sabihin!:)

Tang, Co, Dy, Sy, Lim, Go, So, Ma, No, Po.haha joke lang.

This just shows how strong the influence of the Chinese culture in the Filipino society. From SM to Mother Liliy to Kim Chiu. Wow. Ang daming na-contribute ng China sa Pilipinas. So isipin mo na lang kung walang Chinese sa bansa natin. Boo! Walang Mall of Asia! Boo! Walang hopia! Boo! Walang Mano Po anthology! Boo!

So maybe, the best thing that we (full-blooded Filipinos) could do to show our gratitude to Yao Ming's race is to address them properly. Start calling them "Tsino" instead of "Intsik", just to be politically correct.

4. SPICE GIRLS

A group of girls who are basically wearing the same type of clothes. Long shirt, leggings, metallic havaianas, oversized bags and oversized pair of shades. They are usually spotted in GP, Archer's Lair or Gypsies.

In short, sila ung mga babaeng parang may pupuntahang party ng tangahling tapat sa La Salle. At ang malupit pa nito, sama-sama pa sila. Kaya tuloy 'pag nakita mo sila, para silang gumagawa ng music video sa kalagitnaan ng Agno. Kulang na lang ay background music.

5. THE VAMPIRE SOCIAL CLUB/PARAMORE

If you've seen the video of Chicosci's Vampire Social Club, then you probably know what the people in that video looks like. Now imagine this: one of those people is standing right in front of you, dressed in the tighest skinniest jeans ever - and it's a boy.

No he's not gay, not metrosexual either. He's emo. Eww-mo.

Punks not dead indeed. And of course, they have their own female counterpart which I call Paramore simply because they live and breathe emo words of the songs from the band. And they dress exactly the same way as well. And regardless of sex, black is their favorite color, worn-out Vans is their choice for shoes and both sexes wears (very very) thick black eyeliner.

Nakikinig din naman ako ng Chicosci at Paramore paminsan-minsan pero di ko talaga gets kung bakit kelangan pang magmukhang hindi naliligo ang mga tagapakinig nito.

Mga Hindi na Umabot sa Andrew Building:
- Mga DOTA boys. Of course, nasa Cheezy sila, nagmumurahan.
- GP peeps. Lasing na ung iba, ung iba tinamad nang pumasok o ung iba naman nakatulog na sa sofa.
- Mga ID 99 pataas. Masyado na silang matanda, hindi na nila naabutan ang Andrew Building.
- Mga hindi pumasa ng DLSU Entrance Exam. Aww, kawawa naman sila. Hanggang ground floor lang sila, di man lang nila naakyat ang building.

So there. I'm pretty sure you know a person from this 5 categories. Kasi naman 'no, nagkalat sila everywhere!Haha coño me?

do public schools really need a broadband connection?

the scam ( and sham) of the ZTE broadband deal is all over the news and it's been going on for quite sometime now. i don't really understand the whole scam part of the issue and frankly, i don't really care anymore.but what i know is that dep ed wanted broadband connection for every public school in the philippines.

come on...are you guys fucking insane?!a broadband connection?really?

let's take a rain check: public schools in the philippines are either outdated, dilapidated, crampped, small and not to mention, there are public schools that doesn't even have electricity yet.

and now they want broadband connection??

it doesn't matter if there are like 100 students inside a small classroom, they don't care even if the students do not own textbooks, they don't give a damn if there are no teachers to teach the students how to use their fudging broadband connection in the first place.all they care is that evey public school student can have the access to the internet.

yeah.how smart.

but i'm not saying that the kids don't deserve the luxury of an internet connection.they do, every one does.but they also deserve to have decent classrooms, new and quality textbooks, competent teachers and quality education all in all.i just think that before they think of something totally first-world,they should look closer and see what the students really need.

last sunday, my kuya and i went to serendra (and it was my first time, haha loser ba?!) on our way home from our lola's house in sampaloc. we were supposedly just to buy a box of krispy kreme, but we decided to stroll around the place just a little bit more, sayang kasi ung bayad sa parking haha!

so while we were aimlessly walking, we saw kc concepcion.haha starstruck tlga kami!we followed her until my brother finally mustered the courage to ask for a picture.haha funny! i couldn't imagine my brother actually talked to her.it was surreal.haha.he admitted that he would only ask for a celeb's picture if it was kc concepcion.and he did.haha.we couldn't stop talking about it on our way home.

if you would ask me, the only time i would ask for a celeb's picture is if it is tito, vic and joey.haha call me baduy but i practically grew up watching eat bulaga and i still watch it up to now.so if i see them, i would really throw all my hiya away and ask for a picture haha!

haha.can you believe that it has been 4 months since i had experincedmy most embarrassing moment ever?it has been four long freakin' months and upto now i still don't know what was lesson behind that experience.hahaha wala lang.naaliw lang ako.i thought four months ago, it's the end of the world!yuck exagge!pero hindi naman pala THANK GOD.

so ayun,wala lang.naalala ko lang na "monthsary" KO pala yesterday.haha.gosh parang super tagal na nun.should i celebrate this?or i think the better question is: is there somehing to celebrate at all?

i need glasses and i have to be mean.yes.

the glasses are obviously for my eyes.grabe i never thought na magiging malabo mata ko kasi eversince i was a kid i have 20/20 vision.pero now, i can't see what i'm typing on the screen.waah ayoko mabulag.haha.funny thing is that back in grade school i would fake the eye chart during physical exams in the clinic para i could wear glasses.haha.pero ngayon i'm kinda scared.so my new motto: TAKE CARE OF YOUR 20/20 VISION BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

i have to mean.to him.that's my new thing.i can't love him kaya all i can do is to hate him.i don't hate him because of what happened.i just have to hate him para mawala na ung feelings ko.that's the only way i can do it.extremes kasi ako eh.either i love you or i hate you.and he left me no choice.and i don't think he really care whether i hate him.he doesn't care.and i don't care either (naks)

i know you have seen them.maybe you're even one of them.or maybe, you're one of those people who gets so annoyed by them.

i'm talking about people (specifically:young college kids) who would pose for the camera while chugging down a bottle of beer of puffing a stick of cigarette.it's like saying "we're in college!we're free to drink booze! and we want the entire world to know that!"

ok we get it.you don't have to blantly pose with that alcholic drink in your hand to prove that you are indeed a "mature individual".it's not that i'm against drinking or smoking. not at all.i myself wind down with a (very very controlled) amount of liqour. but i just don't understand the significance of posing with the ultimate proof of maturity.i find that very childish.haha it's funny because the reason why they do that is to show everyone that they are no longer kids but in fact, they look like kids who can't wait to grow up.

i'm not mad. i'm just confused.really confused.i know i shouldn't be paranoid about something trivial like this but i just can't help it.kaya nga i need an explanation. this has been bothering me for quite sometime na and hanggang ngayon it still puzzles me.

i can handle friendly asaran and hiritan.pero it's beginning to be more and more irritating.

lagi na lang un ang napapansin nila.guys please.kung kayo kaya ang inaasar sa kagaya nya,hindi ba kayo maasar?before i can still laugh about it pero now it's becoming a little bit harder to just 'grin and bear it'.below the belt na kasi minsan.and most of the things that i do,lagi nilang kino-connect sa taong un.i hate it.

honsetly,may mga biro talagang hindi ko na ma-take.as in.sige na pikon na ako.pero hindi naman ako napipikon before.ngayon lang.nauubos na kasi pasensya ko eh.

pinapalampas ko ung mga "uyy kc..."pero ung palitan mo ung last name ko at gawing last name nya?!who the hell are you to do that?!oo sige,joke un.pero bigyan mo naman ng dignity ang pangalan ko kasi i take care and i take pride of my name.hindi lang kasi ang inasar mo eh,buong family ko.i just can't take that insult.sige,asarin mo na ako,pero wag mo naman idamay ang buong fabella clan.

and another thing.you keep on telling me na matakaw ako,na mataba ako.SORRY NA HA.hindi kasi ako sexy eh.ilang beses ko na sinabi sayo na sensitive ako pag dating sa weight ko pero you dont care.you will even text me out of nowhere ng "takaw!".oo na sige na chubby na ako.do you have to keep on pointing that out to me?oo sige,asaran.pero sinabihan na kita before.my weight has always been an issue to me.below the belt naman un,pare.

watched the simpson movie with ej, lia (grabe after 3 years!),enzo,ark, gelo,lloyd,jomar,oyo,ryan and posadas.hahaha.(almost) all boys ang kasama ko!hehe.super fun!

i think i was 13 when my tito cesear sent me the complete 4 books of harry potter.and that was the very first time i that i got exposed to hogwarts and all the wizardry stuff in the book.and after i read all four, i lost interest.and thank god i did.

i just can't see the logic of falling in line and buying a very expensive book (1,500 peysoses!maygawd!) that is all about magic.kung 13 years old ka siguro,ok lang.pero kung matanda ka na,it's time to grow up!

then the latest book costs 1500 pesos!my god!i could buy a lot of things with that money.if i have that amount of money,i will spend it more wisely.wisely meaning a pair of jeans or a top or a bag or a pair of lime-green havs or a gorgeous long necklace from cru...and the list goes on and on.and at least nasasusuot ko ung mga un!

and i just can't stand people (college kids to be exact) talking about the book, the movie or anything under the potter sun.basta.there's something annoying whenever they talk about harry potter.sa una ok pa eh,pero nung tumagal na,nakakarindi na.all i hear is harry potter.kasuka na.

pero i still respect their thing for harry potter.kanya-kanyang trip lang siguro yan.and to be fair, nagustuhan ko din naman ung harry potter dati.

running out of ideas

i have a question: if you are a a male having sex with males, what kind of advertisement will make you use a condom?

craap!i can't think of a poster that will make gays (no offense meant) use condom when they have sex. i'm making this for our project in cosca. and i can't think of anything creative at this moment.

the draft that i made is inspired by the absolut vodka ads. pero ms. myrna said that our output should be appealing to our audience, who are males having sex with males and who are living in the urban areas.in short, my adbsolut vodka-inspired ad didn't make the cut.and now me and melai have to make a new one out of scratch.and this is due this week.

it irritates me sooo much because now that i have the time to make a poster, my creativity isn't working.i planned to make this digi-art poster ala inksurge pero that idea is waaay above my non-existing drawing skill.heck, i can't even draw a rainbow.pano naman kasi i can't draw a line even if i'm using the line tool (photoshop chuva). and i'm also thinking of making a poster that uses the gay lingo.kung hindi pa yan maka-catch ng attention ewan ko na lang.pero it might be so gay naman and they won't take it seriously.and i really would want to make a good output kasi minsan na nga lang ako tumulong sa society hindi ko pa aayusin.

BR, STG's official pet, is dying.or is probably dead.nakakaawa.what a waste.sana pinamigay na lang namin sa bata para nakapagpasaya pa kami ng tao.sad.i don't like seeing pets dying.parang they are so helpless.they can't even voice out their feelings.parang they're just there,nagihintay ng hatol.

i remember my first pet rabbit.grabe,kinain sya ng pusa ng kapitbahay.and i cried talaga!the whole day!i was about 10 years na siguro that time.imagine, 3 days pa lang namatay na!if only our dogs wouldn't die and they will grow old with us.alam mo un, it's like they're part of the family na.and just thinking about their death in the future scares me.

oh well.death is natural.we're all gonna die someday.

monday is ticket day

haaay.kagabi i already made up my mind that i will not watch the game on thursday anymore kasi hassle pa ung pauwi ko.pero gusto ko tlga eh.so this morning, instead of waking up a little late kasi free cut sa filkomu,i woke up my 6am to go to school and buy a ticket.good thing nandun na sila tat earlier pa (grabe 6:30!) and sumingit na lang ako when i arrived around 8:30..pero at least nung sumingit ako konti pa lang tao (haha defensive).

so after almost 2 hours of waiting,nakakuha diiiin!haha.grabe kanina nung nag-didistribute na ng tickets.KAGULO tlga!as in there were shouting (c/o "rene"), pushing and of course, singitan.pinoy nga naman oh!

so there.after all the drama.we all have tickets (si mig nanlibre) yey!
and oh,nag-class din pala kami.haha.i forgot. vavay :)
